ANZ Cardiac Devices Masterclass

An educational symposium run by the University of Melbourne Mobile Learning Unit in conjunction with Professionals in Cardiac Sciences Australia (PiCSA).
Key Learning Objectives
1. To provide small group and practical education for cardiac physiologists and allied professionals to improve patient outcomes through better knowledge and understanding of:
• New and developing CIED technology
• Complex follow up issues
• Prevention, recognition and management of infection
• Lead extraction, the procedure and its indications
• Difficult decision making in CIED management
2. To improve recognition, understanding and management of cardiac device infection
3. To demystify and improve understanding of lead extraction.
