Australia’s Peak Representative Body for Cardiac Physiologists
Our Purpose
Professionals in Cardiac Sciences Australia was formed in 2011 to be the peak representative body for Cardiac Physiologists employed in the field, with membership drawn from all States and Territories within Australia.
We are an organisation whose primary purpose is to meet the professional and educational needs of its members. Our organisational structure includes a voluntary Board of Directors, who oversee key portfolios of business and several subcommittees who are invaluable to the smooth functioning of the organisation.
PiCSA is a self-funded professional organisation, with membership subscriptions and fees from sponsors comprising the majority of our income. As a not-for-profit association, we carefully allocate all resources toward the achievement of our purpose & objectives.

To become the peak professional resource and representative body for all Cardiac Physiologists in Australia through collaboration and cooperation with its members, as well as other peak professional organisations.
Our Mission
To promote a commitment to excellence in standards of clinical best practice, provide the resources for ongoing continuing education of our members as well as promote and raise the profile of cardiac sciences both within and outside the profession.

Adherence to the highest standards of professional and ethical behaviour, the provision of safe, evidence-based best practice to all patients under our care, and to hold ourselves accountable for our actions as health care practitioners.
