DESCRIPTION:About\nThe “must-attend” event for anyone involved in exercise cardiology!\nWelcome to the 3rd Sports Heart Summit\nIncreasingly we are recognising the complexity of the athletes’ heart and the effects on cardiac physiology with exercise. The nuances of this patient group and unique challenges they present have resulted in the emergence of the sports cardiologist role\, as well as a more integrated role of the exercise physiologist. \nSports Cardiology not only recognizes the effects of exercise on the athlete’s heart\, but also acknowledges sport as a recreation\, and exercise as a therapy. The sessions dedicated to sports cardiology at international cardiac meetings are always well attended\, but rarely have enough allocated time to delve into the topic as thoroughly as needed.
